Perform diagnostic and therapeutic CT imaging procedures while ensuring high-quality images and patient safety. Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
Requires at least one year of acute clinical radiology experience and ARRT-CT certification. Must possess a valid state radiology/CT license, fluoroscopy permit, and BCLS certification.
The CT Technologist performs diagnostic and therapeutic imaging procedures using CT equipment, ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnosis. Collaborates with radiologists and healthcare teams, maintaining compliance with hospital policies, state and federal regulations. Perform CT imaging procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and regulatory requirements (TJC, CMS, HIPAA). Assist radiologists with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Ensure proper patient positioning, contrast administration, and radiation safety. Process, review, and transmit DICOM images to PACS. Participate in quality control (QC), performance improvement (PI) initiatives, and infection control practices. Provide exceptional patient care and prepare patients for procedures. Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to support optimal patient outcomes.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING 1. One year of acute, clinical radiology experience is required.2. Knowledge of mobile and stationary Radiographic / Fluoroscopic equipment is required.3. Extensive knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology is required.4. Radiology/ CT license and fluoroscopy permit as required by State.5. ARRT-CT Certification is required6.
