CNA IPU Days - Part-Time

• Reporting to the Clinical Care Manager, the CNA is responsible for assisting with direct patient care within the scope of their practice.
• Provides personal care to the patient and assists with activities of daily living in the patient's home, facilities and/or Inpatient units.
• The CNA is responsible for maintaining his/her own clinical and mandatory education requirements and for meeting the established standards of their profession as well as those accountable for his/her practice, assigned duties/patient care, and is an advocate for patients/families and their profession.
• Demonstrates knowledge of age-specific patient populations and cultural diversity during the provision of patient care.
• Contributes to the provision of quality care through performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care.
• Promotes an environment of care.
• Supports the organizational vision and mission.

The shift is 2 days per week.

Education and qualifications

• Current certification in the State of Florida as a Certified Nurse
• A minimum of one (1) year of experience preferred.
• Must maintain current CPR
• Experience in caring for the terminally ill
• Experience caring for others with life threatening illness
• Valid Florida Driver’s License.
• Valid Auto Insurance.

Essential job responsibilities

• Performs or assist patients with tub/shower/bath, complete/partial bed bath, personal care, skin care dressing, nail care, hair care, foot care and oral hygiene.
• Take and records B/P, pulse, respiration, weight and temperature. Reports abnormalities to the RN.
• Assists patient or caregiver with the use of Hoyer lift, commode, bedpan, urinal, wheelchair, hospital bed and other equipment as directed by registered nurse.
• Assists patients to achieve maximum independence in their activities of daily living and promotes optimal well being for the patient through maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment.
