Technologist-Echocardiographer Registered

Purpose of position and scope of responsibility

Performs imaging procedures/treatments according to radiology practice standards in order to aid in the diagnosis and/or treatment of disease. Performs other duties as assigned.

Principal accountabilities/Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a thorough understanding of Radiologic principals/theory and utilizes the most appropriate technique and positioning for optimal procedures/treatments, as demonstrated by procedure/treatment results. Develops appropriate procedure/treatment plan. Implements procedure/treatment plan utilizing established BMG protocols/guidelines. • Completes documentation as required to comply with BMG policies and procedures. Completes documentation as required to comply with BMG policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

Registered by ARDMS and/or CCI or new graduate who is waiting to take registry. Proof of registry/certification required by primary source must be available within 12 months of graduation.

BLS certification required within 14 days of hire date.
