Veterinary Technician - ICU

We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician (RVT) or Veterinary Assistant (VA) to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at VCA Orange County Veterinary Specialists.

• Salary: RVT $ 25 - $ 30 / hour or VA $20 - $28 / hour We may be part of a big company, but we are a close-knit work family. • The position is for four, 10-hour shifts, 8:30 am-7 pm or 10 am-8:30 pm. This will include at least one weekend day (unless you are a glittery unicorn that really, really wants to work Saturdays AND Sundays, which we would be happy to accommodate).
• Duties will include: Maintaining medical records. Preparing for and performing procedures and treatments. Preparing medications and prescriptions. Communicating in person and on the phone with clients. Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging. Assisting in procedures. Providing compassionate care and a home away from home for hospitalized pets. Assisting in other areas of the hospital, as needed.
