About the Role

As Veterinary Technician or Assistant, you will help create and maintain a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our patients and clients. Some of the duties you will be responsible for include: Obtain a history on a sick/well patient Restrain a cat/dog Feel comfortable talking to clients/making phone calls Toe nail trims (can train) Ear cleanings (can train) Draw up injections and be able to administer them (can train) Blood draws (can train) Client education and care Lab sample collection and processing Medication preparation and administration Safe and effective patient handling and restraint Medical recordkeeping have some veterinary medical knowledge/background Why VCA VCA Animal Hospitals is a community of over 800 hospitals across the US, including primary care, emergency, and specialty medicine.
