$70 Per Visit Flexible Fee for Service Opportunity | Pediatric IDD Population Extended Home Care is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide home-based occupational therapy services to pediatric patients with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) throughout New York City. We currently have opportunities available throughout all five boroughs – Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, and Staten Island. This is an excellent opportunity for clinicians looking for a flexible schedule, with a strong preference for candidates who are available to see patients after 3:00 PM, when children are home from school. Responsibilities

Provide occupational therapy services under the direction of the supervising Occupational Therapist and physician's plan of care. Implement individualized treatment plans designed to improve functional skills, independence, sensory integration, motor development, and participation in daily activities. Work with pediatric patients diagnosed with intellectual and developmental disabilities and other developmental challenges. Educate parents, caregivers, and family members on therapeutic techniques, home exercise programs, and strategies to support progress between visits. Monitor patient progress and communicate changes to the supervising therapist and interdisciplinary care team. Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation. Participate in case conferences and care planning meetings as needed. Collaborate with physicians, therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support positive patient outcomes. Adhere to agency policies, compliance standards, and quality assurance initiatives.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program. Current New York State COTA license in good standing. Minimum of two (2) years of occupational therapy experience preferred. Pediatric and/or IDD experience strongly preferred. Strong communication, organizational, and clinical skills. Ability to work independently in a home care setting. Reliable transportation for patient visits. We are specifically seeking clinicians who can provide visits after 3:00 PM, as the majority of our pediatric patients are available following school hours.
