Stevens Point phlebotomy position is Monday - Friday from the hours of 7 AM to 5 PM. Primarily scheduled for 8 hour shifts in clinic setting. Will receive training on hospital collections. Responsible for the collection of samples; ensures patient/resident safety during the sample collection process. Records and documents patient/resident information accurately. Follows all standard procedures and safety regulations; deploys asepsis techniques during phlebotomy procedures. Communicates with patients/residents, collecting their health information and answering their questions regarding phlebotomy procedures. Qualifications High school diploma or General Educational Development Diploma (GED) required. Completion of a formal phlebotomy program, phlebotomy experience, and experience in a laboratory-related field preferred. May be required to have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
