The CMA is responsible for administering medications according to prescribed schedules and documenting all administration per state standards. They also monitor resident vital signs, report medication side effects, and maintain the cleanliness of the medication room and cart.
Candidates must have a High School diploma or GED, a current Texas Medication Aide Certification, and CPR Certification. One year of related experience is preferred, along with a working knowledge of basic healthcare practices.
