Responsible for providing direct patient care and treating individuals according to plans established by the Physical Therapist. The role focuses on achieving positive patient outcomes through high professional standards and effective teamwork.
Requires graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program and a current Ohio PTA license or eligibility to obtain one. Must possess CPR certification and a valid Ohio Driver's License.

Staff Physical Therapy Assistants are responsible for direct patient care, treating a variety of individuals based upon setting, and according to the plan of care established by the Physical Therapist. The successful candidate will exhibit strong: customer service skills, clinical skills, and patient outcomes. They must practice with high moral and professional standards and be driven toward continuous professional development. Effective time management and teamwork skills are an essential quality that will allow success in contributing to the operation of the Health System.
Required Educational Degree: Graduate of an Accredited Program in Major/Area of Concentration: Physical Therapy
Preferred Education: Associate’s Degree
PTA - Physical Therapy Assistant with Current Ohio License - or eligible to obtain license. CPR - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation. Valid Ohio Driver's License and proof of insurance. De-escalation training within 6 months.
1-2 years of prior experience delivering direct patient care to individuals with a variety of deficits, which may include: orthopedic, neurologic, developmental, and cognitive shortfalls. Consideration will be given to new graduates with strong clinical and professional skills.
