The Speech-Language Pathologist provides prevention, evaluation, diagnosis, and intervention for speech, language, and swallowing disorders across a patient lifespan. Additionally, the role involves providing clinical supervision for students, clinical fellows, and support staff.
Candidates must hold a Master's degree in speech pathology, a current Texas State License, and CCC certification from ASHA. BLS certification is required, and 1-3 years of hospital experience is highly preferred.
A staff speech-language pathologist provides prevention, evaluation, diagnoses, and intervention for speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication, and swallowing disorders to patients across a life span refined by medical staff. Additionally, provides clinical supervison for students and clinical fellows and supervision for support staff for the provision of care.
