The Medical Records Clerk ensures the accuracy, confidentiality, and accessibility of patient records while managing clinical supply inventory. They act as a liaison between clinical staff and administration to maintain regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.
A high school diploma is required, with an associate's degree in Health Information Management preferred. Candidates should have proven experience with EHR systems, specifically Point Click Care, and familiarity with HIPAA and OSHA standards.

The Medical Records Clerk plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, confidentiality, and accessibility of patient medical records while efficiently managing the clinical supply inventory. This position is responsible for maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies related to medical documentation and supply chain processes. The coordinator acts as a liaison between clinical staff, administration, and external entities to facilitate seamless information flow and resource availability. By overseeing medical records, this role supports high-quality patient care and operational efficiency.
The required skills in Electronic Health Records, Medical Records Management are integral to the daily functions of this role. The coordinator uses EHR expertise to accurately input, update, and retrieve patient data, ensuring compliance with privacy laws and facilitating clinical decision-making. Medical Records Management skills enable the individual to organize and maintain comprehensive patient files, supporting both clinical staff and administrative audits. Together, these skills ensure that the facility operates smoothly, maintains regulatory compliance, and delivers high-quality care to its residents.
