The LVN coordinates wound care therapy into the total nursing care plan for patients. They provide leadership and collaborate with ancillary nursing and patient team personnel to maintain professional nursing standards.
Requires current LVN/LPN licensure in the state of the hospital and a current BLS certification. Two years of direct patient care experience is required, with wound care experience and certification preferred.
The Wound Care Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN/LPN) coordinates wound care therapy into the total nursing care plan for patients; participates in patient and family teaching and provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel to maintain standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.
Education and Training: Holds current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse / Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state where the hospital resides. Certification from approved Wound Care Certification course is preferred. Current BLS certification required.
Two years direct patient care experience required. Experience in wound care preferred.
