Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care for emergency department patients
• Provide clinical leadership to the patient care team during the assigned shift
• Perform rapid ER assessment and triage; administer medications and monitor patient responses
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and escalate to physicians as needed
• Document care accurately; maintain patient safety and quality of care standards
• Support continuous quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with ER protocols

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license (Nursys) – REQUIRED
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association – REQUIRED
• Minimum 3 years ER experience – REQUIRED - 2 Supervisory Reference Forms completed with dates employed listed – REQUIRED
• ER-specific Skills Checklist current within 1 year; TNCC certification preferred but not required
• Permanent address outside a 50-mile radius of Mattoon, IL – REQUIRED
