Responsibilities

• Provide and assist with therapeutic interventions under the direction of a licensed physical therapist for LTAC patients
• Implement therapeutic exercises, gait and balance training, ROM, and mobility activities to promote functional gains
• Monitor patient responses to treatment, document progress, and communicate any concerns to the supervising clinician
• Maintain accurate treatment notes, progress logs, and timely documentation in the patient record
• Ensure patient safety during therapy sessions, proper equipment use, and adherence to infection control protocols
• Collaborate with nursing staff and the broader care team to coordinate care plans and support discharge planning

Requirements

• Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in New Jersey or eligibility to practice
• Associate degree from an accredited PTA program
• Prior LTAC or skilled nursing facility experience preferred
• Strong documentation and communication skills; ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
• Comfortable working a daytime 8-hour shift (08:00–16:30) in a travel assignment and meeting guaranteed hours
