Responsibilities

• Provide intraoperative nursing care in the OR as a scrub and circulating RN
• Assist with a range of cases including DaVinci robot-assisted procedures, large head and neck, neuro spine, and ex lap surgeries
• Maintain strict sterile technique, patient safety, and procedural accuracy during operative events
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other OR staff to ensure efficient workflow
• Document intraoperative care, specimen handling, and patient status per policy
• Support readiness and turnover between cases, including equipment and room setup

Requirements

• Licensure: Kansas RN license
• Certifications: AHA BLS
• Experience: 2+ years of OR experience with level 1 trauma experience required
• Skills: Strong scrub experience; familiarity with DaVinci robot cases; exposure to head/neck, neuro spine, and ex lap cases
• Floating: Will float to all ORs as needed
• Schedule: On-call required, up to 6 shifts per 13-week contract
• Weekend: Set schedule (no weekend requirement beyond set shifts)
• Orientation: New employee orientation Monday–Tuesday; nursing orientation Wednesday–Friday (summer schedule)
