The Hampton Roads Clinic (HRC) offers a unique and specialized program for adults with a long history of dependence on opiates such as prescription pain medications, heroin, and morphine. At HRC, we provide comprehensive outpatient treatment and recovery services for individuals who have an opioid use diagnosis using methadone prescribed by a licensed physician. In addition to offering the evidence-based medication, methadone, we provide a continuum of psycho-social services to include counseling, peer support, care coordination, and referrals to other social support services.

Position Summary

Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board is hiring a full-time LPN nurse for our Hampton Roads Clinic in Newport News, VA, with an expected schedule of 4:30 am - 1 pm and annual pay of $54,000 + a $3,000 sign-on bonus. This role supports outpatient care for adults receiving opioid treatment.

Key responsibilities include medication administration and documentation; assisting the staff psychiatrist with medication management; completing client assessments and routine supportive counseling; maintaining accurate records; and supporting secure handling, dispensing, and tracking of controlled medications.

Required qualifications/skills

Graduate of an accredited LPN school of nursing, with a current LPN Licenses with the Virginia Board of Nursing One year of experience administering medication in substance abuse treatment, a psychiatric setting, or a long-term care facility, including dispensing narcotic medication If you are an LPN committed to safe, precise care, apply to be considered for this nurse opportunity.
