The Histotechnician prepares tissue specimens for surgical pathology examination through embedding, cutting, and staining. They are responsible for maintaining laboratory equipment and ensuring compliance with quality and productivity standards.
An Associate's Degree in Histology or laboratory science is required, with HT(ASCP) certification and one year of clinical experience preferred. Candidates must be proficient in histologic preparation techniques and laboratory safety protocols.
