The Program Therapist provides social services and therapeutic treatment to help patients achieve optimal emotional health. Key duties include crisis intervention, discharge planning, and conducting family information sessions.
A Master's degree in social work or a clinical mental health field is required, with prior experience in psychiatric inpatient settings. Preferred qualifications include Texas licensure (LPC, LMSW, or LMFT) and CPR certification.
The Program Therapist (non-licensed) performs social services functions to include assisting patients in meeting their biopsychosocial needs while enabling them to access through therapeutic treatment skills to achieve their optimal level of emotional health, including providing basic consultation, teaching, social work services for patients/families receiving care, crisis interventions, short-term family information sessions, and discharge planning.
Master’s Degree specializing in social work or a clinical related mental health area, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
