The Orthopedic Technician is responsible for performing casting placement and removal and assisting surgeons in inpatient and outpatient settings. They also manage patient orders, charges, and maintain necessary casting supplies.
Candidates must have a high school diploma and BLS certification. An Orthopedic Technologist certification or relevant experience in orthopedic casting and fracture care is required.

Duties/Responsibilities Conduct casting placement and removal Assist Orthopedic Surgeons as needed in inpatient and outpatient care settings Enter information regarding patient orders and charges into the computer system Maintain all needed supplies for casting Performs other duties as needed Required Skills/Abilities High school diploma or equivalent Orthopedic Technologist certification is required; relevant previous experience may be accepted Orthopedic casting experience and fracture care experience BLS certification At Scottish Rite for Children, we work together with the common goal of helping give children back their childhood.
