Provides comprehensive peri-operative nursing care to patients in an Ambulatory Surgical Center setting. Responsibilities include conducting pre-operative assessments, managing patient care according to physician orders, and ensuring safe discharge criteria are met.
Requires a graduate degree from an accredited school of nursing with a current state RN or LPN license. Candidates must have at least one to two years of experience in critical care or surgical environments and hold CPR and ACLS certifications.
No weekends, nights, holidays, or on call!
Job title: Preop Recovery Nurse
Assists in provision of nursing care to patients in an Ambulatory Surgical Center setting. Assumes total responsibility for patient care in accordance with physician's orders and centers policies. Completes Pre-Op scheduling and calling.
The Pre-Operative/Post-Operative Registered Nurse, under the supervision of the PACU Manager or the Director of Nursing, according to the organizational structure, is responsible for providing peri-operative patient care in accordance with sound nursing judgment, regulatory and accreditation standards, and the facility's mission, vision, and values. The position must provide direct and indirect patient care across the age continuum; and utilize the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation according to policies and procedures of the facility.
