Perform comprehensive polysomnographic testing, analysis, and interventions for patients in a sleep center. Responsibilities include applying sensors, monitoring study-tracing quality, and assisting with the scoring of sleep/wake stages and clinical events.
Requires a High School Diploma or GED and New York State Polysomnographic Technology Licensure. Candidates must be certified as an RPSGT or RST and hold a Basic Life Support CPR certification.
New York State Polysomnographic Technology Licensure and- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) by Board of Registered Technologist (BRPT) or- Registered Sleep Technologist (RST) by American Board of Sleep Medicine (ABSM) Basic Life Support CPR Skills and Competencies: · Strong knowledge of sleep physiology and sleep disorders. · Technical proficiency in PSG equipment and software. · Excellent observational, communication, and documentation skills. · Ability to work independently during night shifts. · Empathy and professionalism in patient interactions.
