The Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic ultrasound exams and manages equipment to ensure high-quality imaging for radiologist interpretation. They are responsible for patient preparation, safety screening, and providing post-procedure instructions.
Candidates must be graduates of an AMA-approved ultrasonography program and hold BLS certification. Registration through ARDMS, ARRT, or CCI in general or vascular sonography is required or must be obtained within 12 months.
The Ultrasound Technologist provides direct patient care and manages equipment and scheduling for efficient work flow. Prepares patient for diagnostic procedure and conducts ultrasound with proficiency assuring quality of images captured.
Completion of formal Ultrasonography training in an AMA approved school for degree or diploma as Certified Ultrasound Tech. Experience Requirements 0 - 1 General/Vascular Ultrasound experience.
Will accept candidates who can obtain their vascular registry within 12 months BLS, provided by American Heart Association (AHA), required within 30 days of hire
