The Radiology Technologist performs complex diagnostic exams and coordinates specialized equipment. They are responsible for calculating technical factors, ensuring radiation safety, and maintaining equipment and inventory.
The candidate must be able to handle complex exams and devise alternative solutions when standard procedures fail. They must be alert to potential patient or equipment problems to ensure objective accomplishment.
The Radiology Technologist performs highly complex exams as part of the diagnostic team. This individual coordinates specialized equipment, calculates technical factors, radiation safety, maintenance of equipment, quality assurance and film processing, and maintains adequate inventory. This individual must be alert to potential problems with the patient or the equipment and be able to devise alternate means of accomplishing the objective if standard means fail.
