The CRNA administers, monitors, and manages patient care before, during, and after anesthesia. This role is performed under the supervision of an Attending Anesthesiologist.
Candidates must be a NYS RN with a BSN and a Master's degree in nurse anesthesia. Required certifications include a CRNA certificate, ACLS, and PALS.
The certified registered nurse anesthetist is an advanced practice nurse (CRNA). Within this role, under the supervision of an Attending Anesthesiologist, the CRNA, administers, monitors and manages patient care before, during and after anesthesia.
