Home Health Aide

University Home Care Inc is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide to provide quality care and support to our clients in Pontiac, MI. This role involves assisting individuals with daily living activities while promoting their independence and well-being in the comfort of their own homes. The ideal candidate will have a caring attitude, strong communication skills, and a commitment to enhancing the lives of those they serve.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Provide mobility support, including transferring and positioning clients safely.
• Monitor and report any changes in clients’ health or behavior to nursing staff or supervisors.
• Help with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
• Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Follow care plans and instructions as outlined by healthcare professionals.

Requirements

• Prior experience as a Home Health Aide or in a related care giving role is a plus but not required.
• Ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate empathy.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Must pass background checks.
