Engage and inspire members to create and meet their own recovery goals through meaningful conversations. Provide consultation to the team to reinforce a recovery-centered culture and respond to critical mental health emergencies with de-escalation skills.
Requires a High School Diploma or GED and a Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Certification within 120 days of hire. Candidates must have lived experience as a beneficiary of the public Behavioral Health system and at least two years of experience in mental health programs or a relevant bachelor's degree.

The Peer Recovery Coach I engages, inspires, and facilitates meaningful conversations with members served that assist the members to explore, create, and meet their own recovery goals. Peer Recovery Coaches provide consultation to the team to promote and reinforce Telecare’s Recovery Culture as defined by the Telecare Recovery Centered Clinical System (RCCS) in which each member’s point of view and preferences are recognized, understood, respected, and integrated into services and self-help programming. Additionally, Peer Recovery Coaches respond to critical situations with high-level engagement and de-escalation skills which support a least restrictive environment for members served experiencing an emergency related to a mental health/addiction challenge.

Tree House North is a short-term crisis residential program, which works in collaboration with the Orange County Health Care Authority (OCHCA). It will assist members within Orange County who are experiencing acute mental health crisis, and need additional assistance in stabilizing their current level of functioning without resulting in the member being admitted to any Inpatient or higher level of care facility or program. The program is staffed by a multidisciplinary team that focuses on stabilization and recovery.
