The Occupational Therapy Assistant implements individualized care plans to restore function, improve mobility, and relieve pain for patients with acute and chronic conditions. They are responsible for preparing treatment areas, recording patient progress, and providing patient education on interventions.
Candidates must hold an Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant and be a graduate of an OTA program. Required certifications include COTA (NBCOT), CPR/BLS, and licensure from the Virginia Department of Health Professions.
