The Respiratory Intern performs basic respiratory procedures under the direct supervision of licensed staff. They are responsible for adhering to respiratory care standards and promoting teamwork among colleagues.
Candidates must be currently enrolled in an accredited respiratory therapy program and have completed at least one clinical rotation. A Basic Life Support certification is required.
The Respiratory Intern acquires additional knowledge and clinical experience before completing his/her education in a CoARC-approved respiratory care program. The Respiratory Intern performs basic respiratory procedures under the direct supervision of the State of Florida licensed staff respiratory therapist. The procedures performed will be equivalent to the current level of required skills in their clinical rotation. The Respiratory Intern is responsible for adhering to all required standards of respiratory care and promoting teamwork among co-workers.
