The OR Assistant is responsible for transporting patients, specimens, and equipment within the cardiovascular transplant operating room. They also handle the restocking of surgical suites and the disinfection of operating rooms and equipment.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or G.E.D. A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required for this position.
The OR Assistant is responsible for transporting of patients, specimens/blood, instruments/equipment/supplies as needed to assigned locations. Responsible for restocking surgical suites and support areas and disinfection of operating rooms and equipment as needed. Identifies and reports situations that require intervention to the Operations Supervisor. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital.
H.S. diploma or G.E.D. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
