Requires a high school diploma, a valid North Carolina driver's license, and an active CADC certification in North Carolina. A degree in Human Services or Behavioral Health and prior counseling experience are preferred.

We’re hiring a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) to join our dedicated behavioral health team in North Carolina. As a Substance Abuse Counselor, you’ll provide structured, evidence-based services to individuals living with substance use disorders. This includes supporting clients through assessment, counseling, education, and relapse prevention planning while collaborating with other professionals to ensure integrated care.
● Deliver individual and group counseling for clients in recovery ● Conduct screening, intake, orientation, and assessments to guide treatment plans ● Develop individualized treatment plans addressing substance use and co-occurring concerns ● Provide crisis intervention, case management, and client education ● Maintain accurate and timely documentation according to agency and state standards ● Coordinate care with physicians, mental health professionals, and external resources ● Travel within assigned service areas to provide community-based support Required Qualifications ● High school diploma or equivalent ● Active fully certified CADC certification in the state of North Carolina ● Valid North Carolina driver’s license with a safe driving record
