Trainees learn to perform and score sleep disorder tests, including polysomnograms and home sleep testing. They provide direct patient care and assist providers with the management of patients with sleep disorders.
Candidates must have six months of direct patient care experience and obtain an RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential within 30 days of hire. Completion of the AASM A-Step training program and accumulation of 1,638 clinical hours are required within 18 months.
