First Shift (United States of America) Pharmacist - Specialty - Full-time Nebraska Medicine is now taking applications for a talented individual to join us as a Specialty Pharmacist. The Specialty Pharmacy Program is designed to streamline patient care for a group of complex medication therapies that require very specific monitoring and follow up. The Nebraska Medicine specialty pharmacy program is a partnership with Nebraska Medicine Specialty Providers and the outpatient specialty pharmacy team. The collaborative effort is designed to eliminate barriers to specialty medication access and provide optimal pharmacy services focused on quality and safety. The Specialty Pharmacy at Nebraska Medicine is a dually accredited specialty pharmacy in the state of Nebraska.

Duties
- Pharmacist - Specialty Working with the healthcare team, prepare, dispense, and distribute medication and provide clinical monitoring and drug information in a manner, which ensures optimal patient care. Ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations pertaining dispensing and maintenance of records. Provide direction and assist with organization of daily activities. Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited Doctor of Pharmacy degree program OR possess a Bachelor or Master of pharmacy degree with 10 years of experience required.
- Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in the State of Nebraska or jurisdiction in which pharmacy practice is conducted required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program (effective for new hires starting January 1, 2023 or later) as deemed appropriate and relevant to practice required.
- Ability to communicate effectively with hospital staff and patients required.
- Demonstrate basic computer skills and use of typical office equipment required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Outpatient hospital pharmacy experience or retail pharmacy experience preferred.
- American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited postgraduate year one residency preferred.
- Experience with hospital EMR and pharmacy applications preferred.
- Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties (BPS) certification as deemed appropriate and relevant to practice preferred. Nebraska Medicine is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
