The Dental Hygiene Assistant supports the clinical team by preparing treatment rooms and assisting dental hygienists during patient procedures. They are also responsible for updating patient records, exposing radiographs, and educating patients on preventive oral care.
Candidates must have prior dental assisting experience and a high school diploma or GED. A certification in dental assisting, radiology certification, and CPR certification are preferred.

Prepare and set up treatment rooms, ensuring cleanliness and proper sterilization Assist Dental Hygienists during patient treatment progress Update patient health history and chart treatment progress Expose and develop radiographs (if certified) Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care Cordinate with clinical staff to manage inventory and sterilization of dental instruments Support the hygienist with patient scheduling and treatment recommendations and office recall systems Perform routine tasks while ensuring compliance with the industry regulations including HIPAA & OSHA
