The Mental Health Technician is responsible for maintaining patient safety through constant observation, conducting safety checks, and performing verbal de-escalation during crises. They also provide direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs, assisting with daily living activities, and facilitating structured groups.
Candidates must be at least 21 years old and possess a bachelor's degree in health or human services, or three years of experience in behavioral health. Physical mobility and the ability to communicate fluently in English are required.
