The Senior Surgical Technologist is responsible for setting up and passing instruments during surgical procedures. They ensure the maintenance of a sterile environment to support the surgical team and patient care.
Requires a high school diploma, graduation from a surgical technologist program, and at least two years of recent scrubbing experience in an acute care OR. Candidates must be proficient in at least two surgical specialties and hold an active AHA CPR certification.
The Senior Surgical Technologist plays a vital role in the surgical team, ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures. The successful candidate will have recent scrubbing clinical experience and proficiency in multiple surgical specialties. They will be responsible for setting up instruments, passing instruments during surgery, and maintaining a sterile environment. This position requires flexibility to work across various UCSF Medical Center locations, including the Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland and Walnut Creek.
