Job description

We are seeking a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant with weekday availability to join our great in-house team! Enjoy flexible scheduling; you choose your availability, ranging from 2–4 days per week. At minimum, we ask for availability on at least one weekday, with optional weekend hours also available.

This role is based in an inpatient clinical setting.

PAY RATE

$32 - $45/ hr

This outpatient role has

What you'll do

  • Helps with the maintenance and accuracy of records in regard to patient care for all patients on personal case load.
  • Responsible for the correct reporting of billing information of Physical Therapy in regard to all patients on personal case load.
  • Assists the Physical Therapist in carrying out procedures and programs.

  • Performs routine treatment procedures in accordance with the planned program.
  • Contributes to program planning and development in collaboration with a PT.
  • Observes, records and reports to their supervisor conditions, reactions and responses related to their assigned duties.
  • Reports any pertinent findings to the registered therapist.
  • Participate in development and presentation of in-services for the facility as requested.
  • Perform clinical functions: screens, following of treatment plans, and delivery of treatment in accordance with facility, Medicare, and policies and procedures.
  • Terminates services formulating discontinuation and follow-up plans when maximum benefit is received under the supervision of a PT.
  • Assist and assess transfers, gait and balance as required by functional mobility of patient level of assistance from minimum to maximum.
  • Participate in meetings regarding patient care as appropriate.
  • Assist when appropriate with any community education and public relations activities of the facility.
  • Maintains a high standard of resident care.
  • Responds immediately to all crisis and/or calls for assistance.
  • Actively participates in in-services, department meetings and continuing education. Communicates with patient’s physician/family as necessary regarding patient’s progress, treatments, etc., in consultation with the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Responsible for the coordination and cooperation with other staff members in carrying out the treatment plan as established.

    Who you are

    Availability during the weekday. Graduate from an approved and accredited therapist program. Sedentary tasks related to job – approximately 10% Physical tasks as listed – approximately 90%. CPR certified. Licensed by the State in the designated geographic area in his/her respective therapy profession.
