Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care under RN direction, including ADLs, vital signs, point-of-care testing, telemetry application, and specimen collection Assist with daily patient and unit needs (e.g., responding to call lights, meal delivery, patient transport, and basic activities) Maintain a safe, clean, and organized patient environment, following infection control and safety protocols Monitor patients and report changes, concerns, or equipment malfunctions promptly Document care accurately and complete clerical duties as needed Support unit operations by obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to support coordinated care Demonstrate professionalism by building positive relationships, accepting feedback, and seeking opportunities for growth Respond to emergent situations and provide patient supervision or companionship as appropriate Note: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
