The role involves performing specimen collection and non-technical processing for inpatients and outpatients. It also includes managing laboratory data systems to ensure tests are properly ordered, cancelled, and charged.
Candidates must have a high school diploma and either phlebotomy training, a two-year science degree, or two years of relevant experience. A valid phlebotomy certification and passing a Color-Acuity screening test are also required.

Handles laboratory data collection systems and equipment to ensure that requests for laboratory tests are properly ordered, cancelled, and charged to all inpatients, outpatients, and institutional accounts. Performs specimen collection procedures for inpatients and outpatients. Performs non-technical specimen processing, preparation and distribution of specimens from patients.
