Laboratory Assistant - Providence Anchorage

We are hiring for Laboratory Assistant position at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, AK!

• Provides efficient, accurate, and courteous service for PAMC patients or residents of Nursing Home Clients.
• Provides accurate and timely collection and receiving of specimens for all patients in accordance with medical center and laboratory policies and procedures, and Federal/State regulations.
• Performs bedside tests (bleeding times) as requested.
• Accurately enters data into hospital and laboratory computer systems related to patient billing and charting.
• Performs processing functions to assure integrity of specimens for testing.

Required Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED.
• 2 years - Phlebotomy experience or one year phlebotomy experience in a clinical setting.
• Less than one year experience will be considered for PAMC Lab employees of six months or greater with approval from Director.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in specimen processing.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
