The Occupational Therapist Assistant provides direct therapy services to patients in their homes as ordered by physicians and delegated by Occupational Therapists. They are responsible for implementing care plans and maintaining all required clinical documentation.
Candidates must hold an Associate or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapist Assistant and a current Ohio license. CPR certification is required, and experience in acute care or home care is preferred.
The Occupational Therapist Assistant directly provides occupational therapy services to patients in their homes or residences. The Occupational Therapist Assistant provides care as ordered by the physician, delegated by the Occupational Therapist, follows policies/procedures and conditions of participation, and regularly reports to their supervisor. The incumbent facilitates the implementation of the plan of care as outlined by the physician and supervised by the Occupational Therapist. In addition, the incumbent is responsible for all required documentation related to the care they provide and communicates pertinent information regarding the patient to all appropriate health care team members.
