Provide safe basic care to patients, including taking vital signs, assisting with daily living activities, and collecting specimens. Responsibilities also include recording patient data and communicating with the care team to ensure continuity of care across multiple locations.
Must be a Certified Nurses Assistant (CNA) with American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification. A high school diploma and 6 months of clinical healthcare experience are preferred.
The PCT/CNA-Float provides appropriate safe basic care to patients which includes taking vital signs, assisting patients with activities of daily living, specimen collection, and observation of patients for physical/emotional changes. Other duties include recording pertinent information in patient charts, communicating with other Patient Care Team members to ensure continuity of care, and may function in a role providing constant supervision to patients as needed. Duties may vary according to department expectations and needs. This position requires floating to various departments within the medical center. This position supports multiple OSF locations (Galesburg, Monmouth, and Kewanee).
