The Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for providing direct and/or indirect care to Enterostomal Therapy (Wound and Ostomy) patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This includes ongoing assessment, evaluation, and treatment tailored to the patient's age-specific needs.
The Registered Nurse is responsible for all aspects of direct and/or indirect care during the postoperative phase for patients in the Erlanger Orthopaedic Short Stay Unit. This includes administering ordered pharmacological drugs, performing necessary procedures, operating equipment, and assessing patient status to develop and implement the appropriate plan of care.
The Registered Nurse is responsible for all aspects of direct and/or indirect care during the postoperative phase for surgical patients in the Orthopaedic Short Stay Unit. This includes administering medications, performing necessary procedures, operating equipment, assessing patient status, and communicating effectively regarding patient care.
The Licensed Practical Nurse provides direct and/or indirect patient care under the direction of an RN within the Pediatric Sub-Specialty Clinics, demonstrating knowledge appropriate to the age of the patients served. This role involves participating in a team-based approach to care, coordinating patient care, and supporting patients/families in self-management and behavior change.
