The Kosair for Kids Complex Care Center at Home of the Innocents invites you to join our team as a Respiratory Therapist Student!
In this role, you’ll work alongside a collaborative interdisciplinary team, delivering compassionate respiratory care to medically complex children and young adults.

What You'll Do Perform respiratory care procedures such as oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, humidification, and bronchopulmonary hygiene (all within your student scope!).
Work closely with Respiratory Therapists, Pulmonologists, and a supportive care team to ensure individualized care plans are implemented seamlessly.
Be an advocate for resident engagement in enriching activities, while providing care that keeps them safe and supported.

Maintain compliance with training, employee health standards, and facility policies.

We’re Looking For A Kentucky-certified Respiratory Therapy Student (limited mandatory certification).
CPR/Basic Life Support certified (training provided if needed).

Physical & Safety Requirements Ability to move, lift, or assist up to 65 lbs safely.
Comfortable with standing for prolonged periods and occasional exposure to healthcare-related risks (e.g., bloodborne pathogens).
