The Psychiatrist will provide telephone consultation availability and conduct psychiatric consultations for NEBH patients as requested, attending care conferences when necessary. Responsibilities also include consulting with various hospital staff via telephone and providing timely on-site consultations when required.
Candidates must possess a valid Massachusetts MD licensure and be Board certified or board eligible in Psychiatry. The preferred education is an MD/DO or equivalent.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to): · Availability by telephone for consultation. · As requested, provide consultations for NEBH in patients with psychiatric needs. · Attend patient care conferences when requested. · Consult via telephone with Nursing, Case Management, Medical Staff and Affiliated Medical Staff as requested. · Answer pages from NEBH by telephone within 60 minutes (Monday to Friday 7: 30 a.m. -6: 00 p.m.) · Provide NEBH with vacation/travel schedule. · Arrange phone coverage when not available because of vacation/travel. · When requested, provide on-site consultation within 24 hours of requested consultation. · 1 hour education conferences every 4 months for members of the Hospitalist Service (hospitalists, nurse practitioners and physician assistants).
· Valid Massachusetts MD licensure · Board certified or board eligible in Psychiatry PREFERRED EDUCATION: MD / DO or equivalent Pay Range: $100.00 - $200.00 The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time.
