The Registered Nurse provides nursing care to patients using the nursing process and professional standards, performing all staff nurse activities and potentially functioning as a charge nurse when assigned. The RN maintains overall accountability for assigned patients, delegating tasks appropriately to support staff as needed.
Candidates must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing, with new hires effective after June 14, 2017, needing a BSN within three years of hire. Required certifications include a Florida RN license and BLS, with ACLS/PALS required based on the specific department assignment.

Assignments are performed appropriately to age and developmental level of patients being served.
