This role involves performing comprehensive patient assessments, planning, and administering physician-ordered physical therapy programs to restore function and relieve pain for clients in the home setting. The therapist is also responsible for documenting care, instructing patients/families, coordinating with the interdisciplinary team, and supervising physical therapy assistants and aides.
A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from a state-approved institution is required, along with a current, unencumbered Physical Therapist License (required within 30 days of hire) and BLS certification. Preferred experience includes one year of therapy with adult physical disabilities, and reliable transportation is mandatory.
