The role involves preparing and positioning patients, accurately selecting technical parameters, and administering contrast media and/or medications according to regulations. Responsibilities also include observing patients during procedures, reporting abnormal activity, and maintaining radiation safety guidelines.
Candidates must possess a High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of experience, an Associate's degree, or 4 years of applicable experience. Required certifications include BLS within one month and Radiologic Technologist credentialing from Indiana within six months, along with specific CT or Nuclear Medicine specialty certifications.
