Diagnose and manage psychiatric illnesses for a diverse patient population in an Open Access Center and long-term care setting. Provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and emergency crisis treatment.
Must be a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with a current Iowa license, DEA number, and ANCC certification. Experience with adolescents, juveniles, and SUD/MAT is strongly preferred.
Fulltime position based out of our Eyerly Ball Ames clinic M-F 8:00am - 4:30pm Practice autonomously and in collaboration with a variety of individuals to diagnose and manage clients’ psychiatric illnesses in an Open Access Center setting, and also working with established long term clients. Provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management and follow-up medication management to patients Treat crisis situations and emergencies, as needed Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skills Target candidate open to working w/full Age Range. (0-99). Adolescents/Juvenile age ranges a strong preference. SUD/MAT experience preferred
