The Patient Care Aide provides direct patient care and maintains patient care standards under the direction of the RN/LPN. They must be able to work with diverse socio-economic backgrounds and manage multiple priorities.
A high school diploma or GED is preferred, along with BLS certification and proof of Nursing Assistant class completion. Active certification as a CNA or Certified Medical Assistant is preferred but not required.
Overview The Patient Care Aide works under the direction of the RN/LPN. The responsibilities of the Patient Care Aide include providing direct patient care and maintaining patient care standards. The Patient Care Aide must exhibit the ability to work with people from diverse socio-economic backgrounds; to organize, set priorities and manage multiple priorities, and to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
Education preferred: High School/GED License, Certification and/or Registration: BLS required before the conclusion of the orientation period. Proof of Nursing Assistant (CNA) class completion required from a state approved program. Active certification preferred (including Certified Medical Assistant) but not required.
