The Pediatric Clinical Pharmacist is responsible for the safe distribution and use of drugs for patients of various age groups, including neonates and adolescents. They will also monitor therapeutic responses, consult with providers, and influence therapy standards through collaboration with medical staff.
Candidates must possess a current Pharmacist’s license from the Oregon State Board of Pharmacy and a BS in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. along with a practice residency or specialist certification. Inpatient hospital pharmacy experience is also required.

The pharmacist must deal with intense situations on a daily basis. In addition, within the healthcare setting there can be significant lack of control over the work pace, with frequent interruptions (work is often dictated by external factors) that may lead to mental fatigue or stress.
